Description:

A program for one or more teachers/educators to design, develop and implement a project that supports teacher professional development through innovative, creative classroom work that is based upon current research and aligned with NYS learning standards.

Up to $1000 can be awarded per application with a grand total of over $50,000 to be awarded overall! ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER PERSON.

In the ONTRaCT innovative project process, there are specific pieces of information to be provided by the applicant, along with financial reporting procedures that must be followed for each project that is awarded. There is also a Final Report which must be completed and returned to the Teacher Center by a specified date. Each of these requirements may seem detailed and bureaucratic, yet each is important to ONTRaCT in keeping the program of high professional quality. If you are interested in applying, take time to read the application carefully, follow its completion requirements, check your spelling and information, and observe deadlines. It's important!
